Bruno Costa

Bruno Costa is Codirector of Bússola, a Portuguese organization with a mission to support strategic development of artistic and cultural projects. He holds a PhD in Cultural Studies from the University of Aveiro and a Master degree in Management for Creative Industries from the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) and has specialized his research in the processes of constructing an European identity, with a particular focus on the mechanisms of internationalizing artistic projects and European cooperation. Over the last years he has collaborated in several projects as cultural strategy and artistic programming consultant, in Portugal and abroad. As artistic director/consultant works with special focus on outdoors and unconventional places, highlighting the new dramaturgies for circus arts and cross disciplinary creative projects (re)claiming the public space.
