Francesca K Hyde is the name of the fleshy live/work space in which various (id)entities reside. The space was built for circus (upon training at The Circus Space London and later on the MA in Circus Practices at Uniarts Stockholm) but accommodates many different kinds of events. The various activities that occur under the name Francesca K Hyde include writing (e.g. for the book Thinking Through Circus, 2020), performance (e.g. with their collective ‘Collectif and then…’ in places such as the contemporary circus festival of Rio De Janeiro, The Barbican, London or Circus Mlejn, Prague) or with hairhang partner Laura Stokes (e.g. at Cirque De Demain Festival 2020), installation work (e.g. at BigCi New South Wales, Sydney), daydreaming, doodling, reading, studying and writing letters among other things. They recently completed the Formation in New Magic at CNAC and are currently making a performance that works with circus and new magic called ‘Tank & Me’. They are also working on performances on top of their circus boat with Collectif and then and on a research project with The Circus Dialogues continued.
